She passed away suddenly but peacefully with her family at her side at Sault District Hospital on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

He was born in Helsinki, Finland on December 17, 1944. He was raised by Heino Mostonen and Irma Salovara. After her mother’s death, she was raised by her stepmother, Mariata Mostonen. Glenn’s beloved wife of nearly 50 years. Devoted mother to Frank (Tina) and Anelie (Jorge Souza). Dear Grandmothers of Gabriel and Sarah Souza, Caitlin (Justin) and Kayla Planting. Cindy’s grandmother to Preston, Carson, and Leylan Planting. She was her great-grandmother’s partner and close friend of Rosa Souza from Portugal. Jarmo Mostonen’s sister (Hilda). Sister-in-law of Randy, Sally Lilly, Lynell Lilly, and Donald Scott. Special Aunt Michaela (Thomas) and Ryan Scott.

Cindy was happy with her life as a mother and grandmother. She spent many happy years with her friends and family fishing on Lake Manitwick, enjoying saunas and frozen margaritas and even befriending vultures. She lived her life to the fullest and lived the good life with trips, dinners with friends, family vacations and above all loving her family completely and unconditionally. She had a mission and a lesson to teach others in this world patience, kindness, compassion, and the lost art of listening, which she mastered. Despite her intense pain at first, there was not a cell in her body that felt the self-pity, anger, and resentment that she could hear him complain about. He was a spiritual person who loved the divine in all its forms, such as the Creator, Buddha, God, nature, and especially angels. She’s out on top of her game after recently watching several friends and family, including her brother Jarmo, take the last bat around the ring and eventually beat her son. In the face of such a terrible loss, she wants you to be happy and cheerful and turn sadness into full love in your heart.

A private family funeral was held. Life Celebration will be announced at a later date. The arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur-Barton and Kettley Chapel Funeral Home (492 Wellington Street East). Memorial donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated by the family. The fond memories and expressions of sympathy www.arthurfuneralhome.com can be shared with the Lilly family.
